Description
This is a crown I just recently completed. It is full circle, with a closed back. Starts thinner in the front, and continues into a larger back.
The stone is a hexagon-cut blue Siberian quartz and is energy-activated. It was provided by the customer, who will be having a very spiritual ceremony and had the specific requirement that the stone was supposed to touch her forehead and the design of the headpiece had to have opposing spirals, and be nature inspired. She also mentioned she liked dragonflies.
So this is what I came up with, so as to meet all requirements. The stone was a bit big, so as to minimize it visually, I extended some leaves and tendrils to go over it. There are spirals in the back of the setting that keep the stone in place and provide the opening necessary to ensure contact between the stone and her forehead.
The headpiece was entirely hand sculpted from Sterling and Fine silver, and then antiqued.
