Headpiece for Born of Hope by ElnaraNiall Headpiece for Born of Hope by ElnaraNiall
This was a headpiece created for the fan movie Born of Hope. I was so extremely flattered that they asked me to participate!

Born of Hope is a largely acclaimed fan movie project, a prequel to the Lord of the Rings. The movie is filmed in the UK and deals with the events of Aragorn's birth and features his parents Gilraen and Arathorn.

In the movie, the headpiece was worn by Gilraen. For those of you who are curious, the filming of Born of Hope was recently completed, and it should be released for free viewing, hopefully, soon. You can read more about it on the Born of Hope website.

The headpiece was made in Sterling and Brass with a carnelian for the center stone. When creating the design, I tried to make something that was new, yet to stay true to the Lord of the Rings' spirit.

Hello ElnaraNiall. How are you and how was your new year? I saw this on the wish and left you a message that I don't want to repeat here. But I guess I might have to do it anyway. I am looking for a tiara for my Cat Princess and this looks like this one is the extact. Her ears will be moving so hope the tiara won't fall off but his tiara is so pretty. How much is a golden one with a red in the middle? I was recommeding this tiara to my friends in hope to get a wish discount but I guess that didn't work. Can't wait to hear from you and I'll give you a link to what my cat girl looks like!!

Wow, this looks so awesome! It looks royal, like for a gypsy queen or something. I know that's waaay off from it's purpose, but that's how I imagine it.

Oh, really? You have seen Born of Hope? I have not see it yet and am so curious to see it. I also helped design the dress that Gilraen wore at the wedding.

*runs off to look for the movie*

It's very beautiful!

Is this the one she wears at the end?

Yes, it is!

The headpiece was worn in the movie twice by her - when she and Arathorn walk with their child, and they wear crowns - she wore it higher up, with the point up.

Then she wore it again, with the beaded drapes added to it, and she wore it point down and across the forehead.

Isn't it amazing how the way she wears it makes it look like two different pieces?
